What is in the file
This two-page, annotated printout contains an exchange attributed to Mr Mayo and Amelia Skea. A forwarding header identifies Luke Cornwell at Seldons and is dated 31 January 2025. These are the descriptions visible in the supplied copy; the original electronic messages have not been provided.
What the printed exchange says
- Page 1: a message attributed to Mr Mayo, dated 9 April 2024, identifies poles BH67 and BH68 and seeks a wayleave update following a claimed land purchase.
- Page 2: that message says a marked plan and a solicitor’s completion letter were attached. It says a certified copy of the transfer could be provided if required; it does not say that certified transfer was attached. The marked plan and completion letter are not included in this two-page copy.
- Page 1: the reply attributed to Amelia Skea, dated 15 April 2024, says records were updated for future wayleave payments and describes an annual payment of £25, with arrears backdated to ownership.
The exact wording and why it matters
The incoming message attributed to Mr Mayo states: “The pole numbers are BH67 and BH68.” The reply attributed to Ms Skea states: “Your wayleave will be paid annually in advance in September by cheque for an amount of £25.00 based on current rates.” Its displayed reference is 2624773. BH67/BH68 are named in the incoming message, not repeated in the reply. Read together, the printout can appear to confirm an update concerning both poles; authentication must establish that the reply actually answered that precise request.
The agreement and apparatus records supporting “your wayleave” remain to be identified for each pole. The printed April dates precede Miss E’s agreement dated 4 June 2024. This file was re-examined on 13 September 2026 and is byte-identical to the earlier copy, not a new version of the exchange.
Annotations are allegations, not authentication
Handwritten notes accuse Mr Mayo and his solicitor of fabrication and identify allegedly added text. Those are allegations recorded on the supplied copy, not independent forensic findings. Fonts, pagination and a self-forwarding header do not by themselves establish alteration. Authentication requires comparison with the original messages, their headers and the retained attachments.
